Hey Reader, Earlier this week, we took inventory of the roles we carry every day: wife, mom, daughter, leader, friend. When you look at that list, one thing is hard to ignore. Our best energy, sharpest focus, and strongest hours go to those roles. We make sure everyone else is cared for, supported, and seen. Then when it's time to work on the business, the vision, the thing God put on our hearts, we build with whatever is left at the end of the day. We give our dreams the leftovers. I've been sitting with why we do this, and here's what I keep coming back to: sometimes the people we love most become our biggest distraction. Not because they're trying to hold us back. Because we're quietly looking for their approval. We want the people closest to us to see the effort, affirm the roles, and tell us what we're doing matters. So we pour energy into keeping everyone happy and hope there's enough left to build what's next. There usually isn't. You can't build a full life on scraps. When your dream only gets what's left after everyone else takes their piece, you look up years later and barely recognize yourself. Your capacity will shift from season to season. Your dreams still deserve real, protected time. It doesn't have to be four uninterrupted hours. It can be 30 focused minutes where you close the door, set down the need for approval, and lay one real brick. Stop waiting for permission or leftover energy to work on what God gave you. Save some of your best for your own foundation. Today's 5 Daily Anchors: Protecting Your Vision
